Dear Forum,Is there a way to see what Seed file was used to initiate a design model? To see if a certain seed was used or a.n.other.dgn?
I can't think of a way to determine this on files that already exist but going forward you could place a unique custom property on each seed file. When a new file is created from them it would also contain this unique custom property. Same thing if you are talking about model creation, place a unique custom property (item) on the various seed models and then it will be passed to any models created sing them.

yep
My thoughts exactly going forward John...
Continuing with this same thought if you know a unique variable between the seeds then you could just check that setting. Though not 100% you could infer where they came from.
You could always add a custom field to the file details. Only easy way I can think of.
what about track to owner under the file properties, then check with owner by trying to get them to create new file, then msnt will use the last seed file used? This is not perfect solution as they may have since then changed using another seed file but its a start...
