how I can use the key-in command for world coincident reference attachment without pressing “ok” button in the reference attaching dialog box?

I want to attach reference file using key-in command in a batch process command file. Both “RF=” and “reference attach” are properly working with coincident view (*) without any user input of pressing “Ok” button in the reference attach dialog box. But for the “coincident world” view (#), it needs a user input of pressing “Ok” button in the reference attach dialog box. I need to attach reference with world coincident system. Can anybody reply how I can use the command for world coincident attachment without pressing “ok” button in the dialog box?

  • in CE upd 14 I still have to replace spaces with dashs "-" or it keeps using just the first word of description and then complains about view name..
using "quotes" does nothing and it works with dashs.
I'm running it as a simple script with @.

Basically I get the PW name and PW description using  Set >Show references in Projectwise.
Use excel to create rf= script. where Ref logical = PW name and Ref description = PW Description

Then open in standalone CE dettach all refs and reattach with @ script

It makes sorting models in federated models easy using logical (PW Name) or the Description.
    Makes it much much easier..
.. to use Level manager and to set levels..
.. to find which models graphics are in by hover or tentative..

    BTW...
in PW CE latest & all versions if you change the PW_WORKDIR and use browse
it doesn't add the last "/"
you still have to add it manually after 5yrs.

I reported this long long time ago..
Will try to remember to log a CR  ..

    Hi ,

I am not sure if this may help, but consider at least verifying your constructed key-ins against some working recommendations I provided in this reply: Using ProjectWise MicroStation MCM key-ins to attach Rasters and References.
