When working in my toolbox, I saw the term Sort Children under the main menu where you can make more items or toolboxes. I did search the term Toolbox sort children, Item Sort Children.
so often my biggest problem is not knowing how to search for the answers correctly. I did search in the Help file also. using children and sort children? I had started to ask this in VBA section
but thought it was more a standard Micro-station question.
Hi Richard,If I understand it correctly, you want to know what Sort Children does? It is actually mentioned in Help file... In MicroStation Help>Contents>Search Tab enter sort children and it will list few topics where you can read about it (in some topics you have to expand contents in order to see more information). To Sort the Contents of DGN Files, Tasks, or Workflows1. In the Customize dialog (Workspace > Customize) on the Tools tab, expand the Tasks tab.2. Expand the User Tasks section and expand the open DGN file.3. Right-click the open DGN file whose contents you want to sort and select Sort Children from the pop-up menu.orRight-click the task or workflow whose contents you want to sort and select Sort Children from the pop-up menu.The contents are sorted alphabetically by name.Regards,Robert Karpic
