Hi,
I have created a pipe bend using flexi pipe in Aecosim(connect) but when I view that in plan or sections in drawings (microstation v8i) this doesn't come up with a smooth display. Is there any settings/ variable i should be mindful of to get a smooth display. Advice hugely appreciated. Many thanks Boney

What version (e.g. v10.x.y.z) of MicroStation, or other product, are you using?
Your question says MicroStation CONNECT, but your tag says MicroStation V8i.

Thanks Jon
I use Aecosim version 10.01.00.36 for modelling and
Microstations version 08.11.09.397 for drawing ( agree that this is a bit out of date)
Thanks
Boney
V8i is not so good, with the same setting as the one above which is Connect U10.
Thank you Duncan, unfortunately our drawing production environment set up is still v8i.
Thanks,
Is Duncan's screenshot in V8i what you are seeing? What about his CONNECT screenshot: is that of sufficient quality or is there still something missing?
v8i screen shot is what it currently looks like my drawing which i don't prefer. Connect screen shot is ok. But as I have mentioned my drawing set up is for v8i.
In v8i I get the Illustration Modeling display style active for view 2.
If you want to change the display you can use Display Style for that.
In fact you can have a different display style for each object under Element Information \ Extended.

That's interesting Jose.
I can't apply any style other than Hidden to that particular view for drawing presentation reasons. But I would like to know a bit more about

How will I apply that to an element in a sheet which comes from a drawing model.

That's strange. With Microstation we can see what we want in the view that we want with the aspect that we want. Independently from the sheet layout, if this is what you were referring from "drawing presentation"?

That will have to be changed in direct element properties in your drawing file. In sheet you can change your reference display and this element remains with the display that you use in the drawing. The screen shot comes from CE but the option it's the same as in V8i:

Thanks very much Jose for this tip..

Hi Jose,
In the drawing views, for the referenced element properties are greyed out and i cant change any. Is there any configuration settings affecting this. 'view flags' in presentation is turned on.
Thanks Boney
Hi Boney,

You can only change that in the model that the actual elements/objects are placed. Not on the reference.
