Remove a face from a solid in Microstation Connect

Question

When I use "Delete face" in modify features, I can not get the face deleted. I have attached some clipboard how I wanted it to look. 
 I hope You can help me? 
 I can drop element, but then it completely destroys the model, and then I'll delete all the faces manually afterwards 
 If You want the DGN file, I can sent You a mail.

The intended purpose for the "Delete Face" tool is to remove a face (ex. hole punched through a solid) and heal the surrounding faces to close the hole. So, as you discovered it's not suitable for this use case. 
 I don't understand why dropping the solid to surfaces "destroys the model" when deleting faces would have been ok...but have a look at the "Extract Faces/Edges" tool, it may be what you are looking for.
