Hi,
I have an issue regarding the clip volume is not function when i open A model. The clip volume setting in view attribute dialog are missing.
However, when i open B model, it's worked and clip volume setting in view attribute dialog are shown.
Both models are in DGN.
May i have some advise for this issue due to i have really no idea about it.
1. In A Model Situation
2. In B Model Situation
Thank you !
Hi Herman,
Could you share the file where it is not working. I will investigate it.
Thanks
Mahendra
Hi Patole,
I have dropped you a private message with model link
Thank you! BTW, is that any method to convert i-model to normal model which is supporting for clip volume?
I really hope that the clip volume can support to i-model, for us easy to reference and present the model perfectly through file exchange in i-model.

to merge referenced i-model into empty DGN or to open i-model and to save as should work fine.

Is it possible to have a section cut view in i-model by Bentley view?
Thanks, Jan,
I will try it
Mahendra Patole said:If there’s sufficient interest, we can consider supporting clip volume in read only files but it will just clip the model & will not create drawing from it.
We need it big time... in Mstn and and the verticals sitting on top.
I would be wary of waiting for users to answer a poll. My experience is that a lot of projects just give up on Navigator and go with Navis because it is easier to use (the clip volume thing being a good example of why) especially when dgn is not the dominant / client mandated format... inspite of all the advantages of converting from dgn to i.dgn compared to dgn to nwc.
... incl Bentley View CE and DgnPreview in MS Explorer... which will almost exclusively be dealing with files in read-only mode !!!
