Hi,
I have an issue regarding the clip volume is not function when i open A model. The clip volume setting in view attribute dialog are missing.
However, when i open B model, it's worked and clip volume setting in view attribute dialog are shown.
Both models are in DGN.
May i have some advise for this issue due to i have really no idea about it.
1. In A Model Situation
2. In B Model Situation
Thank you !
Sorry for the confusing due to i am new in Bentley Software.
i am using AECOsim building designer and microstation building designer (V8i SS5 08.11.09.747) to try out these model.
But i not sure microstation building designer is exactly the microstation.
Dear Jon,
The version is V8i SS5 08.11.09.747
Hi Herman,
Herman Tan said:But i not sure microstation building designer is exactly the microstation.
it's not ... sometimes it is :-)
Both MicroStation and AECOsim Building Designer are developed on top of the same "power platform" (imagine it as internal engine / core), but they are two different products. It means they share the most of the tools and interface, but discipline specific products add own tools and extensions, so sometimes the same tools behave a bit different in different products.
So it's always better to ask in right forum (MicroStation for MicroStation, Building for AECOsim Building Designer etc.), because (not very often) an answer about the same tool can be different depending on the product used.

Hi Patole,
I have dropped you a private message with model link
File you provided is an i-model. It opens as read only file. Clip volume tool does not support in read only file. So no clip volume settings will be displayed. The other model you mentioned should be a dgn & not opened in a read only mode. Hence showing clip volume setting.
If there’s sufficient interest, we can consider supporting clip volume in read only files but it will just clip the model & will not create drawing from it.
Thanks
Mahendra
