Thanks Jon
Many thanks for your quick response.
1 The version is 08.11.09.357
2 The format I am using is jpg
I look forward to a solution to the problem.
PS I did not have this problem before but I had to re install my computer recently after a crush and most likely the problem is something to do with that and the graphic card settings. I also had the screen freeze or the issue as described at https://support.microsoft.com/en-gb/help/2665946/display-driver-stopped-responding-and-has-recovered-error-in-windows-7
and had to change the setting at
Control Panel. In the search box, type Performance Information and Tools, and then, in the list of results, click Performance Information and Tools>Select Visual Effects > Adjust for best performance > OK
I thought I better add this info in case relevant.
I am also having resolution of some letters pixilated unreadbale as can be seen on the screen capture before.

What version of Windows?

That's definitely a possibility. What graphic card do you have?
I am on Windows 7
The graphic card is: ATI FirePro V7800 (FireGL)
Hi Oktay,
MicroStation uses DirectX for hardware acceleration and not FireGL. You could check if the graphic card driver you have installed supports DirectX and if it is enabled? Not sure this can e the cause of the issue but it is worth checking.

Thank you Marco, sorry for the late acknowledgement. I have been using Microstation on my computer, including the ATI FirePro V7800 (FireGL) without any problem, prior to re installing the computer. I think I have chosen the graphic card from the Bentley website as one of the recommended, better performing hardware at the time whan I updated to V8i some 5 years ago.
I am sorry but I also do not know how to check if the "graphic card driver you have installed supports DirectX and if it is enabled". I managed to open Direct X Diagnostic Tool. It is showing
Do these mean Direct X not the issue?
