lv=NEWLEVEL invoked from custom menu causes command to be dropped

In my custom menu there are many commands similar to:

LV=UNPLOT

If I ask for 'place line' then invoke one of these change level custom menu commands,

the place line is dropped.

But if I hit 'place line', then change levelfrom the dropdown in the atributes toolbar,

it stays in the command, which is correct behaviour.

What is deficient about the command, with text just 'lv=unplot', and nothing else?

Why does it behave differently, and can it be brought into line, if so, how?

  • if the level exists already  then you can use it from the pull down even tho your in place line mode... if you have to make a new level then it wont  because its not available from the pull down... are you reading all the prompts between each action you try?... usually provides enough feedback...
