Is Microstation CONNECT Edition also have command selection by short cut numbering method ?
I am assuming that you are referring to position mapping ? If so yes, this is a user preference go to File> Settings > User > Preferences . In the user preferences dialog box go to the Position Mapping category and make sure that the two settings are checked.
Use Position Mapping

Thank you Melissa. Appreciating your help. This is the one setting I was searching for. Your help will promote me to explore more. Thank you once again.
Hi, that solution (also described https://communities.bentley.com/products/microstation/w/microstation__wiki/36009/how-to-enable-v8i-keyboard-shortcuts-on-microstation-connect-edition) seems to be removed from U12. Where can I find it? At least I cannot find it in dialog below.

Hi Wojtek,
I guess it would be better to ask in a new post. This is 4 months old discussion about something different!

I see Position Mapping category in my MicroStation CE Update 12 installation.
It's mentioned in MicroStation help that this category is controled by MS_POSITIONMAPPING_CONFIGURATION configuration variable. Can you check how the variable is set?
Also, because it seems you are using not default upf file (the name is derived from Windows user, which I guess is not Personal.MicroSation), can you try to delete it (or rename) to force MicroStation to create a new file?
With regards,
Jan

Hi Jan,
thanks for your reply.

Sorry if I had a misunderstanding, but that discussion was about keyboard shortcut and enabling position mapping, and that's exactly what I wanted to ask about :-)
Anyway, I forgot to mention that I am testing just released Promis.e Microstation Mode, which is based on PowerPlatform U12. My experience in pure CAD platform question is, that's better to ask Microstation specialsts, not in a product-based forum. That's why I am asking here.
In clean installation, I cannot see MS_POSITIONMAPPING_CONFIGURATION variable at all (. I have tried to manually set MS_POSITIONMAPPING_CONFIGURATION=1 variable in standards.cfg and I am able to see that variable exist and is set to 1, but I am not getting desired result (PositionMapping still not showing). I will fill SR for that.
All the best,
Wojtek
