MicroStation V8i SS4, V08.11.09.829
Is there a key-in to toggle the "lock" on the Manipulate Scale dialog?
I recorded a macro, but it did not record anything for when I toggled the lock.
Thanks,
Brian L.
he is using v8i and did not specify if it was a basic macro which still is available, or a vba macro which is better .
I tried to vba and it worked so since he said his macro didn't its not too big a stretch to imagine he tried to use the basic macro recorder which wont pick up the code to do it ...but now I cant find it and tried to do it again and now it dont work I must have done something different in the wrong order ... I remember it had some tbc etc line that seemed to be what made it work... unfortunately I emptied the recycle bin and I cant find it anywhere..... I know it sounds too good to be true but I wish now I hadnt deleted it...

Hi Brian,

thanks for the correction of my mistake, I missed this checkbox ;-)

In such case I assume there is no such key-in and it's something handler internally in a logic of Scale tool :-(

Hi Jan, proportionaltoggle is not the code for the lock.
If you toggle the Method from Active Scale to 3 points, a Proportional setting appears on the dialog.
The proportionaltoggle key in, checks and unchecks the box for this setting.
I forgot to mention in my original post that I had tested those set item toolsettings as well.
Thank you,
Hi Lorys, As I said, I recorded a macro, I guess I should have specified a vba macro, and it recorded nothing when I toggled the lock.
If you have code that functions, please share.

Brian wrote in his question that he tried to record macro ;-)
