I've been working with the parametric cells for the last few days and I'm a little disappointed that I can't modify the length of a steel section dynamically after placing it. So far, I really like the functionality but, just having the ability to modify the length in the properties is kind of limiting. I was hoping for a more intuitive interface where the length can be modified dynamically after placement.
Suggestions?
Thanks Marco. I understand the premise, I was just beginning to take the parametrics for a test drive. Started with structural because it seemed the easiest! The "catalog" elements strategy will work great for my discipline (Mechanical).
Are there any plans to add the functionality to modify dynamically via handles (or dimensions)? Just askin!

Yea... the need for 'handles' has been highlighted quite a few times... going back a least 6 years. Pretty much every other BIM app out there does this out of the box. The usability of the Parametric Cells made this way will be severely hobbled, and is another reason we have been seeing long time Bentley users going to R*vit even in sectors where it has no or little market presence.
You should put in an SR if you can.
