Hi all,
We have a dgn file that contains some shared cells.
I have tried dropping the shared cell to both a 'Normal Cel'l and to the 'Gemometry' options.
The item dissapears all together when either option to drop the shared cell is applied.
Do you have any tips?

It might be worth reading through the MicroStation Forum best practices as it would be helpful if you could provide the software and version you are using along with an example file that this issue could be replicated in.
What is the format of the file, ie. DGN, DWG etc.? Where did the file originally come from, ie which software? These two items may be important as the "shared cells" may be originally from a DWG file.
If you have tried the To Geometry or To Normal Cell under the Drop Element tool, have you tried either Complex or Application Elements, as this may also be related to the origin of the file or shared cell.

The original file was a DWG file and is now a DGN. We are currently trying to make the change in Microstation V8i (Select series 4) version 08.11.09.829
I tried to drop the shared cell using the Complex and Application Elements options and both showed an error of 'nothing to drop'.

Is it possible for you to supply an example file containing this shared cell so we can investigate what might be happening in the file. This may be in relation to the shared cell originally coming from a DWG format file.
