XButton 1 Pan Drag cancels command

Hi

I note this topic has been mentioned previously over the years, yet is still a problem within MS.

It seems panning using the mouse wheel click cancels all sorts of commands including drawing lines, etc.

A real pain as this is a regular method of, well, panning round a drawing whilst working on it.

And you've guessed, I'm fairly new to MS having over 20 years' experience with the 'other' CAD package.

Are there any plans afoot to fix this issue?

Cheers, Andrew

  • It seems panning using the mouse wheel click cancels all sorts of commands

When you start a view command it suspends any active command.  When you Reset to escape the view command you will see the previous command active once more.

    For example...

    1. Start a place line, or any other tool, to start drawing something
    2. After the first point, click one of the view control buttons to, say, zoom in, zoom out or pan the view
    3. Press Reset to exit the view command
    4. Continue to draw your line
