Description says it all.
What do you need from me to assess what's wrong and how do I revert to Connect Update 10, is it simply removing U11 and downloading and installing U10.
Regards
Ken
I would try (if you haven't already) completely uninstalling U11 and then reinstalling. I'm using U11 and have found it to be pretty stable.
Well if you're a Select subscriber, file a Service Ticket or even call them, they can help. Nothing troublesome in r11 vs r10 that I noticed, but each site is different.

Generally you should be supplying your Exception History files that are normally created at the time of the crash. It is also helpful if you could also advise what was being performed at the time of the crash so we can ascertain whether it is related to a specific tool or possibly the file you are editing. It is best for you to raise a Service Request directly with MicroStation technical support.

Hi Ken,
as Andrew wrote, exception history is the main source of information why MicroStation crashes. So to provide it to Bentley support team can help to investigate what is wrong (the log is quite unreadable for normal people ;-)
As Bob wrote, both U10 and U11 are quite stable, so when MicroStation is crashing constantly, probably the installation is corrupted.
Quite often (it's one from typical MicroStation features) MicroStation crash is caused by corrupted user preferences file. What you can try is to delete (or remove if you want to keep it for future) the whole folder when preferences files are stored. Use expand echo $(MS_USERPREF) key-in to find where your upf is stored (the path is displayed in Details in Message Center dialog). It should be something like C:\Users\<user name>\AppData\Local\Bentley\MicroStation\10.0.0\prefs\Personal.upf. When you will delete the whole prefs folder, MicroStation creates all file from scratch, so if there is anything wrong (because of error during a session or inherited from older MicroStation installation(s), it will be removed and MicroStation will create new clean files.
expand echo $(MS_USERPREF)
C:\Users\<user name>\AppData\Local\Bentley\MicroStation\10.0.0\prefs\Personal.upf
For more detail analysis what is happening, you can use Windows Event Viewer. Usually there is nothing about MicroStatio, but maybe sometimes is wrong in Windows which causes MicroStation crash. Use Windows key + R (it opens Windows command prompt) and enter eventvwr to start the viewer.

Jan
