Hi everyone,
We have a reoccurring problem in the office which none of us have been able to resolve.
When using the Stretch Elements command, some elements don't stretch at all. It seems to be a fairly random selection of elements that don't stretch. For example some groups and cells stretch, but not others. Some lines don't stretch and sometimes whole shapes or groups just get left behind. When none of the elements stretch we get the message "X No Elements in fence" in the message centre.
There is a similar issue with the selection tool (not sure if it's related) where some lines / groups of lines have to be selected one at a time as the selection tool misses them.
Has anyone encountered this issue? Any solutions?
Thanks,
Alex
We are using:
Micro Station Power Draft Connect - Update 10 Version 10.10.00.23
And we are running on various Windows 10 computers.
I've seen this a few times in recent days and I'm using ABD U4
No consistency with when or what it doesn't stretch but it is very annoying and time consuming to correct!
Also happens with different drawing files
Ian
currently using OBD 10.10.01.151
This is an example of the fence stretch problem which has just occurred
ABD U4 2D file no reference files attached
before.jpg shows fence placement and after.jpg shows what happened to the fence stretch when completed
the door which is a cell and the plaster lines as well as randomly a couple of the metal stud partitions remain in place and the remainder of the stud partitions which are a grouped element and the insulation move as instructed
ctrl Z puts everything back and the choice is either to abandon the stretch command and modify fence to then move the elements or accept that the fence stretch doesn't work and move (in this case the plaster lines and door) as a separate set of commands
very annoying
Great Example Ian, this perfectly illustrates the problem we are having!
Here is hoping for a solution. As you said, its deeply frustrating!
Was there ever a solution for this. I seem to be having the same issue with a file.
Hi Duncan
Not had any response in respect of this issue.
Have to say it hasn't happen recently and with it not being file specific, it is difficult to replicate or work out why it happens
Thanks Ian
It seems to be inconsistent and quite random but really annoying.
