anybody have a macro that, setting idle time-out of microstation from 30 minutes to 10 minutes.
like to control over usage. I know how to change in configuration, expecting an answer other than that.
What would a macro achieve that a configuration variable doesn't do already?

Please read and follow community best practices. To ask without defining product version exactly is not just a violation of the rules, but primarily quite efficient way how to make a discussion more complicated and a question harder to be answered.
As Jon mentioned: Are you aware of MS_IDLETIMEOUT configuration variable?

The var you refer to is MS_IDLETIMEOUT . Sadly the minimum time out value is 30 mins, It has never been changed for less than this.
Why do you want it to be 10 mins?
As has already been advised the configuration variable MS_IDLETIMEOUT is used for the idle timeout but can only be defined for a minimum of 30 minutes.
Is there any particular reason you would require this to be 10 minutes? Is it related to the calculation period for license usage?

I would also suggest that you read up on the new Connect Licensing as this has new features that allow License alert notifications when you are approaching a custom usage threshold.
