Dear All,
anybody have a macro that, setting idle time-out of microstation from 30 minutes to 10 minutes.
like to control over usage. I know how to change in configuration, expecting an answer other than that.
I would also suggest that you read up on the new Connect Licensing as this has new features that allow License alert notifications when you are approaching a custom usage threshold.

Yes you could... but in reality this is just a pop up message to say you are at the limit of licenses available, it is not a prevention tool. So the user can say YES to the pop up and gain access to a full license.

this is true but you can also restrict access to certain products as well.

True
But, the issue is the user base need a tool that stop over usage. Restricting an application isnt going to stop users that have been assigned access. Even if a user sees the warning, if they can press OK to proceed they will......
Nice idea just missing the vital step........ DO NOT ALLOW access if limit is reached
This has been a bone of contention for ages. All the Bentley users I know (what's left) want to be able to control and stop over usage so we don't get nasty surprises on our Select invoices. We've always had to resort to paying for 3rd party tools to give us this most basic of functionality. Bentley can spin this any way they want but their refusal to implement controls just adds to all the other reasons people (certainly in Architecture) are switching away from Bentley.
Can we request an option to either allow or not allow over usage. The new CL allows us to issue a warning when we near or reach the limit, all we need to an additional option/button to stop over usage. (maybe in the entitlement area @ administration level
