I have exported an IFC from Revit which contains some topography. But when I import the IFC into Microstation Select Series 3 only the boundary appears at a zero level? Any ideas why this is happening?
An IFC format file cannot be imported in this version of MicroStation V8i SS3. As explained in the Help Documentation:
IFC is a file format that is intended to describe building and construction industry data. You can do the following with IFC files:
Attach them as references
Place them as cells
Open them in read-only mode
Open and save them as DGN files
IFC files open as read-only. You can import IFC files as DGN files.
Is it possible you are using a Companion Product installed on top of this version of MicroStation?

As far as I am aware I am using Microstation V8i SS3 Version 08.11.09.459 no companion products installed and the IFC can be imported through File > Import > CAD Files... and then selecting .IFC as the file format.

I have exactly the same version. Vanilla Microstation
Just tested with a small IFC and it worked pretty well. Then I tried a large one which crashed. Just trying the large one with Connect
