Hi guys,
We recently upgraded some of our users to Microstation SELECT Series 4.
One of our users tried to edit a tag element. Here is the Edit Tag dialog before the edit:
The DRAWING_TYPE value displays correctly from right to left.
After I mark part of the text for editing the dialog looks like this:
As you can see the value field is garbled and becomes unreadable. So I cannot mark and edit the tag value.
This occurs also in the Microstation key-in field:
So it appears to be a general Microstation issue. In SELECT Series 3 everything works as expected.
Any suggestions?
Regards,
Benzi
This is the Civil forum. which is focused on civil products I think it would be better to post this question to the MicroStation forum.

Hi Benzi,
It is difficult to see the corruption from this screenshot. Can you provide a sample test case with just an element and this tag attach to see if this can be reproduce on our end?

When editing a post, you can see a row of options below the edit pane. Use Insert|Image/Video/File to attach a file to your post.

I attached a ZIP archive. It contains a DGN file with a title cell and some tags. The sheet model is named 8304. I also included two Hebrew AutoCAD SHX fonts which are used to display the tags. Extract all files to the same folder and load the DGN file in an Untitled workspace. Now do an edit tag command and try to mark part of the tag's text in the dialog box.
IMPORTANT: In order to see Hebrew in Microstation dialogs you need to add the Hebrew locale to your Windows regional settings.
