ForumI thought that attaching a csv dgnlib to a file would allow the levels to be controlled by the csv. I have:Exported from dgn to get my csv template,Filled in some test levelsWhen i now attach this csv to my dgn, it attaches and the levels show, but close and open the dgn and the attachment stays but the levels do not appear. This is in a ProjectWise environment. Am i doing something wrong as i thought this isnt a complex set up? Is there a guide to read on here?PS: Once i solve this, it would be good to understand if i can wrote in level filters also to my csv

Please tell us the version (e.g. v10.x.y.z) of MicroStation, or other product, that you are using.

A contradiction in terms. PW makes a big difference to configuration. There's a Content Management Forum that may be a good place to ask questions about DGNLib management.

Can't help with the PW bit but a CSV file is not a DGNLIB. A DGNLIB is a .DGN file with a .dgnlib extension. Normally you would import the CSV into the DGNLIB and new DGN files would see the levels if the DGNLIB file is in your DGBLIB path.
I Understand the csv/dgnlib difference. I was under the impression that i could have project.dgnlib, and the levels with it are driven by project.csv which is attached to it. Any user who then requires project level can go into their design model, attach project.dgnlib and the levels would come through.Have i misunderstood and the CSV can be used for quick edit, but then must be imported into project.dgnlib?
MS Version 08.11.09.714
The DGNLIB is self contained. It doesn't look at the CSV. The CSV is just a way of transferring information. For minor updates you would just open the level manager iin the DGNLIB and make your edits just as you would in the DGN. You need to have the DGNLIB in the path of the MS_DGNLIBLIST variable then any user creating a new file will automatically have the levels from the DGNLIB and they won't be able to change them.
