[CONNECT] Compare text attributes with the associated text stile

Hi,

is there a tool in CONNECT to compare the attributes of a text to the associated text stile? It seams the Standards Checker doesn't work for this. SC only verifies the text stiles to the stiles in a dgnlib.

best regards

Daniel

  • Sorry for the delay in response to your query. It appear to have dropped off the radar. I do not believe there is a specific tool that would compare the attributes of text with specific test styles but you could possibly write some VB code to perform this operation if it is essential to what you are trying to perform. It might be helpful if you could supply an example design file to help explain what it is you are trying to perform and the reasoning behind this.

  • With CE's enhancements to Explorer, Properties, and the concept of unified selection you could select the text element and then select the text style from explorer. Properties will display/compare the two selected elements. You could probably get it to work with a report also, but I didn't try that...

There seem to be a two anomalies, first you must select them in that order text then text style (not sure why text style the text element wouldn't work), second you must select the text style in from explorer (imo it should be able to be selected in either explorer or the text style manager dialog).
