Why doesn't CE View allow you to 'Copy to Clipboard'? The previous versions did, but the new one doesn't. This is a feature that I used a lot.
Probably because, that would be something more involved than simply "viewing" a drawing. If the point of a viewer is to simply allow you to see a drawing, with no access to that actual data in it, I can see why they might have eliminated that loophole.

Well that's a big shame as copy to clipboard is one of the main reasons why I use View. Without this I wont be using the CE version and will revert back to the SS4 version. The daft thing with this is that they, Bentley, must have deliberately though about removing this. A BIG loss I would say!

Why was it a loophole. Copy to clipboard was written into the earlier versions. If you highlight an element you can right mouse click and get 'copy to clipboard'.
I have noted that this was previously discussed by yourself a while ago which resulted in Defect # 354633. This defect has been looked at by our development team and deemed to be Working As Designed. Bentley View is a viewer and not something a user should expect to be performing a Copy&Paste within.

That was 3 years ago.

Shame, as I used it a lot. As I said back to the SS4 version.
Acrobat Reader lets you copy to clipboard...
