Diameter Dimension line with a kink / bend in it possible?

Hi there,

I am interested if it is possible to create dimensions looking like the the one on the right hand side in the picture. (For the picture I created the Dimension by Hand, so ist is not a real Dimension anymore.

Thanks in advance.

  • Go into your dimension style and change the Orientation & Location on the Text tab under Format. You may also need to adjust settings in the Notes section as well.

After some investigating, you may need to draw a line under the text part. At least you can get the "bend" that you want and the text aligned horizontal to the view.

  • The drawing a line under the text is annoying. I couldn't find anything that fixed that either. With insert vertex at least it's all dimension. Maybe an enhancement needed unless someone has worked out how to do it.

  • This works best for me .. made a style for just this so doesnt  wreck normal linear dims.

It doesnt underline but does put bend and looks like drafting std for Aussies

and note leader looks like this too.... ( horizontal = orient , location = inline) as your setting was a little hard to read I made mine bigger and I used the same setting only  I created a style ( will need to add to dimstyle.dgnlib later)

I have not tried this yet but what  if you used underline feature in your text style?
