As the title. There is no data in the report when I attempt to preview but placing it as a table works. Here is my report

Change your Report definition Search Location to All (not Current Selection).
Neither By Fence nor Current Selection seem to work. That begs the question: Why does MicroStation create a Table when the Report is empty?

Thanks Jon. That works, however I would have thought that if I have elements selected then the report should preview when set to selection or fence (if I have one defined).

I agree. This looks like a defect (Bentley terminology for "Doesn't Work as Designed").

Can you let me know the status and version of fixing defect 1017789. Because I have a same issue with selection type "by fence" and "current selection", it doesn't work.
