In Connect U12 the group hole command doesn't seem to be working. I select the boundary and then the first hole then when I try and hold down Ctrl and pick the next hole it doesn't allow me to select anything.
Hi Duncan,

I works fine with my CE U12 installation.
Alternatively you can select (add to Selection set) all elements that your want to group upfront, start Group Hole tool and to confirm the result. No individual elements selection is necessary in CE.

Thanks Jan. I can get it to work by selecting everything but not by adding them individually as shown in the help file example.
2d drawing from 2d seed. No messages.
test8.dgnThis is the test file I'm using.

No problem with the file, should be something with your configuration / workspace.
Regards,
For me Group Holes works fine in this file. You already mentioned default preferences, is this happening for all users ? Have you tried no Workspace/workset ?
I'm testing with No Workspace / No workset. Can't really think what in user prefs might affect it.

I am curious about why Element Selection tool is started. Does it happen also for other tools or just for Group Hole? This is not MicroStation default behavior.
Did you try to delete upf to ensure it's not broken from any reason?
Tried deleting user prefs but makes no difference. Not sure why element selection is popping up. It does that even if I close it beforehand.
