Hi All,
I'm trying to label a line string with elevations at each point within the string. The 'Label Element Coordinates' tool is good but labels easting northing and elevation so was wondering if there was a way to not include the easting and northing?
Thanks in advance,
Mark
Hi Guys,
Thanks for getting back to me. Sorry to waste your time but i have literally just figured it out. What i did was highlight the line strings i wanted to label, click on 'Label Element Co-ordinates', open the 'Key-in' tool. Type in 'label element hidexy on', click on 'Single' and it should do it.
Thanks,

Mark,
Q1: When you label the elevation, are you in a 2d drawing / sheet model? I.e. is the x,y,z information based on the referenced file or the active file?
Q2: is the referenced elevation a CVE?
Hi Dominic,
The file is not a referenced file so its an active file. The seed is a 3D seed.
I'm not sure what you mean by CVE.
CVE = Cached Visible Edges. This is the recommended means to generate section/plan cuts for drawings.
When a CVE is generated, proxy 2d graphics are generated in place of the 3d elements. So a 3d wall element would have a 2d shape proxy in the Drawing/Sheet model.
The question is whether the attribute information in the 3d wall element is available for annotation through its 2d proxy.
