Hi,
I can't sync the view between Google earth and MicroStation Update 12
It says initializing Google Earth, but Google earth is running in the background as you can see.
Any idea on how to fix this?
Please use the 32-bit version of Google Earth, as 64-bit does not work since Google removed its support for COM APIs.
Regards,

I have google earth pro 7.1.2.2041 and connect edition 13 .. it will not initialise GE pro under CE 13.. but I also have v8iss4 and it does initialise my
GE pro 7.1.2.2041 ... what do I have to do to get it to launch GE pro under CE 13?

Started msnt work 1990 - Retired Nov 2022 ( oh boy am I old )
But was long time user V8iss10 (8.11.09.919) dabbler CE update 16 (10.16.00.80)
MicroStation user since 1990 Melbourne Australia.click link to PM me
Only solution I found was to uninstall Google Earth 64 bit and install Google Earth 32 bit. Very poor state of affairs.
I dont have 64 bit GE installed just 32 bit and it works with V8i perfect but GE 32 bit wont initialise under CE 13
INteresting, I had the exact opposite. Perhaps Connect only recognises a GE installation that has been installed after MicroStation?
Probably yes, you're right!
well that's disappointing..in CE I'll just have to make do with bing maps in the view attributes, the click on point and open in google map still works so I can zoom to a sign post and see what it says, or a gutter and figure out the kerb type...
Hi Lorys, I'm on 10.13.01.01 which is update 13. I'd update to the latest version if you're not already on it. I would suggest then uninstalling Google Earth, rebooting and then reinstalling it. If the 64bit version still doesn't work, repeat the procedure with the 32 bit version. Let me know how you get on. N.
Sorry for late reply still havent taken the plunge
will that still let both v8i and CE work with GEarth not willing to take chances and I have to get IT admin to do it too...
