I can't sync the view between Google earth and MicroStation Update 12
It says initializing Google Earth, but Google earth is running in the background as you can see.
Any idea on how to fix this?
Please use the 32-bit version of Google Earth, as 64-bit does not work since Google removed its support for COM APIs.

I have google earth pro 7.1.2.2041 and connect edition 13 .. it will not initialise GE pro under CE 13.. but I also have v8iss4 and it does initialise my
GE pro 7.1.2.2041 ... what do I have to do to get it to launch GE pro under CE 13?

well that's disappointing..in CE I'll just have to make do with bing maps in the view attributes, the click on point and open in google map still works so I can zoom to a sign post and see what it says, or a gutter and figure out the kerb type...
Hi Lorys, I'm on 10.13.01.01 which is update 13. I'd update to the latest version if you're not already on it. I would suggest then uninstalling Google Earth, rebooting and then reinstalling it. If the 64bit version still doesn't work, repeat the procedure with the 32 bit version. Let me know how you get on. N.

will that still let both v8i and CE work with GEarth not willing to take chances and I have to get IT admin to do it too...
Defect 1096864: Google Earth Pro pushes for automatic updates to latest version 7.3.3. Google Earth Tools stop working.
WORKAROUND: Uninstall latest version and come back to 7.1.8.3036 for windows (32 bits)
This version seems to be the only one that WILL NOT auto-update and all the commands work as designed

So does that mean for both Connect 13 and V8i to work with GE pro you are recommending I uninstall GE PRO 7.1.2.2041 and use 7.1.8.3036?
