Will there be releases of other applications under the SS10 brand? For instance InRoads and Descartes.
Thanks for any information.
I'd be interested in an "InRoads SS2"-SS10. I'm sure I'm not alone...

After I asked we received an email stating the following.
The Civil Products (GEOPAK SS4 / InRoads SS4 – Power or Layered) that will run with MicroStation V8i SS10 should be out within the next few weeks.
Please do not upgrade to the V8i SELECTseries 10 if you are running GEOPAK SS2 or InRoads SS2 in production. This upgrade will only be applicable if you are running GEOPAK/InRoads SS4 in production. The benefit of upgrading is that you will be able to extend the support life on those versions of software.

yep
Well, that clears it up - thanks!
Powercivil?
But it kinda doesn't answer if SS2 will be able to run, does it?
MaryB, it does run but we are having an annoying issue with this:
It pops up frequently the first time you run a command in InRoads SS2. It takes 20-30 seconds but eventually goes away and the commands work fine.
I'm not having that problem yet.
I'm just trying to find out what the drop dead date will be for the SS2 licensing. At what point does that cease to function?

I think the date is going to be 1/1/2020, so 5 and a half months. I would open a ticket and ask to be sure, I just remember seeing this around the time they were talking about pulling the plug on the old SelectServer and forcing everyone to go thru Connection Client.
I've seen the table. That tells me when "support expires". But it doesn't tell me explicitly when or if the Select license server will go offline and if that will render SS2 unusable.
Everybody shows me the table. The table is pretty short on details.
Well I plan to have SS10 implemented at my company by the fall to play it safe. If all previous versions of SS software go offline, and the old SELECT Server is down, I want our people runnings SS10 products with Connection Client licensing. Even still, I wouldn't try to extend usage past the end of this year.
