I am attempting to perform a "Batch Convert" (using the Batch Convert Dialog) of a large group of DWG Files.
It would be nice if the conversion process could be configured so specified Levels would be omitted (not passed to the DGN file output).
Thanks,
Rob
Another possibility -
put everything which you want to delete onto a specific level, then use a second Batch process to delete them.
Or just Batch Process delete all the layers/levels you don't want in the DGN files.

yep
I think that is the way to go. I need to make it into a two (2) step process - > Batch Convert to make them DGN, then Batch Process to delete the unwanted layers. Just an extra step.....no big waste of time. Thanks! Rob
The other option - I believe there is an option to ignore Frozen Levels. I don't know how that might fit with your workflow, but I can say that option does work to leave out levels that are frozen so they don't get brought across.

Yep two steps not a big issue. It would be cool if there was just one Batch utility that could run conversions, a script or even Print. Novel idea, ha.
Basically, to make a long story short, we have a large library of projects from our Legacy CAD software package that were created prior to Bentley merging them into their V8i platform. A Migration Tool was created to bridge the gap between legacy & Bentley, but in handful of migrations there is an abrupt failure. Even so, there are DWG Files that remain that can be imported into our Bentley product, so at least we have a "visual" representation of what was, even if there is little or no intelligence (just a "pretty picture"). Was looking for a way to save time in recovering projects that may have several hundred pages......but the good news is that this has given me some good ideas......thanks again!
