Microstation Connect Edition, Update 12
I have created a Display Style with the following conditions:
- Element is Shape
- Element is color = 2
When theese conditions are met and the Display Style is used, the element has to be shown with a pattern inside the shape. This I have configured via the Actions and the pattern I use is taken from a cell library.
Here is my issue.
If I draw a shape element with the color = 2 and apply the Display Style, the shape element is displayed as wished. But if I attach a reference file where there is a shape element with color = 2 and apply the Display Style, the element will not be shown with cell pattern inside. why is this..??
Hope someone has some advise.
Thanks
Hi,
This is an issue with Display Rules. Defect has been filed for the same Issue. Defect# 1030280
Regards,
Amruth
Has there been any work done to sort out this defect?
I have checked in OpenRoads Designer 2022R1 (10.11.00.115) which is based on Power Platform V10.17.00.990 and Display Rules with cell patterning applied to references still don't work. I have tested very similar setup as Morten described here except the condition included shapes on specific level name. Same Display Rule works fine on a model physically located in the active file.
Interestingly hatch and crosshatch appears to wok fine in reference. So, its only pattering causing problem.
Ability to re-symbolize elements in references is critically important for workflows efficiency.
