I have multiple monitors, (3) on one system and (4) on another. I have my Connect Edition program set to open two application windows on the three monitor system but only one application window on the four monitor setup. The issue below happens on both systems, regardless of the application window settings.
The issue:
The issue is popup windows, for example when I hold my right mouse button and my context menu opens it will often open on the screen above on both the three and four monitor setup. Sometimes it opens on both the top and bottom screen straddling them
When I have the Linear Dimensioning dialog box open, for example, and select the button to change the Dimension style the list box often appears on the other screen in with the second application window.
First, has anyone had this issue?
Second does anyone know a solution for this anomaly?
Third, if this is not a Connect Edition issue does anyone know if this is an issue with Windows 10?
Last, if this is a Windows 10 related issue, does anyone know how to resolve it?
Thanks.
Hi Brian,
Multi-monitor defaults for dialogs has always been a problem. We use nView with our Nvidia graphics cards to set default dialog opening monitor and location and that seems to work well.
Would be nice if there was a preference setting that could do this, but nothing I know of. Something to put in the Ideas section...
Regards,
Mark
