Right-clicking a dimensional constraint to edit the value does not work for me. All instructions that I have seen say that right-clicking on the constraint is supposed to allow this. What needs to be done to make this work?My right mouse button is currently set to "tentative". I'm at a loss.
Bob and Grant - when I right-click (with a button set to "tentatative") to edit a dimensional constraint (not a dumb dimension) MicroStation does not allow the pop-up menu to display thereby negating the possibility of editing/changing the value.
Hi Bill,
Do you mean you can't see the Edit Dimension menu as below? Can you please try right click without selecting any element to see if you can see pop-up menu?

Grace - thanks for the question as it prompted me to look at my Preferences settings for Input, Reset Pop-up Menu. I set it to "Click" rather than "Press and Hold" and am able to get the pop-up to display now. I'm still getting used to the new interface and these little things can be quite hidden unless you know where to look. I find the Connect ribbon and dashboard interface a little distracting, but that's just me.
Bill,
The ribbon is absolutely awful and it's clear nobody at Bentley who programmed it actually uses the product for any kind of productivity. That being said it has a bunch of underlying bonuses being part of the windows API rather when it comes to display scaling and blending 1080P, 2k and 4k resolution monitors for a seamless interface. It also future proofs the interface presuming in general microsoft doesn't screw up too badly.
I highly suggest building your own ribbon, take advantage of being able to code your own screen popup menu's like the out of the box spacebar menu. Examples below.
