I was looking for the POPSET in the Ribbon. The Ribbon Search gives you nothing. It is suppoesed to be in [Drawing]Primary
As you know the Toolsettings Box is ALWAYS needed - for all but a few functiions. Docking it is not only wasting screen real estate but also is annoying for the different sizes of different ToolSettings. Moving it around all the time when it is in the way is causing all Kinds of issues as you know. And x-ing it away is not really recommendable as I learned ever since It Needs to Pop up again all the time.
That is why I NEED the "dissappearing" behaviour when closeing in on the Toolsettings Dialog.
So where is my POPSET? I found it - through help - in the toolboxes. I need to dock it somewhere. That works.
But why is it not added to the Ribbon menue? I assume the changing Icon behaviour (green bubble/red bubble slashed) does not work on the Ribbon (?)
I tried and added it to the Ribbon. But that leaves a static green bubble where you can not see the Status as with the Toolbox.

You're not alone on this Gerd. It was raised in the beta testing some years ago. Basically, Bentley don't seem to see the value in it, that's the feeling I get from the responses I got during beta testing and into production. I've got to wonder how long it will be around for if it's not part of the main interface.
yes, Bear is correct a Defect was filed at the time Defect 45214.

Hi Gerd,
just for curiosity: Where you would like to add Popset icon to? Drawing workflow > Home tab > what group ?
Not sure whether it makes sense PopSet should be available always or on some quick path (e.g. space popup) as it's probably not accessed too often. But I agree to have icon notification about PopSet status is important.

"it's probably not accessed too often."
What makes you say that? I access it a lot.

Because I usually switch PopSet on and keep it running ... forever? No reason to access PopSet and to change its setting. But it's probably matter of individual work style.
