It is common practice to edit dimension text such as changing " 10'-10" "to "MIN 10½ FT CLEAR". When editing the dimension text of an existing dimension element (using Edit Text), typed stacked fractionssuch as 1/8, 3/16, etc. are replaced with a “?”. However, fractions ½, ¼, and ¾ all work fine.
The question marks appears only when all three of these conditions exist:• The font is a Bentley "stick" font (Engineering, Working, etc)• The fraction is stacked• The font contains fractions for 8ths, 16ths, 32nds, and 64ths
However, the fraction displays correctly:• When the fraction is not stacked OR• When ANY stacked fraction other than 8ths, 16ths, 32nds, or 64ths is done in Bentley fonts. (i.e. 13/100 works fine)• When ANY stacked fraction is done in TrueType fonts
Is this a bug? Running MicroStation CE 10.10.00.23.
are you leaving a space between the 10ft and 1/8?
can you create symbol 1/8 and 3/16 in the favourites and insert it when needed?

Thanks for advising the version of MSCE U10 that you're using but it would also be helpful if you could advise which type of font is being used as that can make a difference with the display of stacked fractions. ie. RSC or TTF or SHX? Maybe you could supply an example design file and some screen captures. I have an existing Defect # 1026634 which may be related but would need to get an example to confirm this.

If in the primary line the stacked fractions should work. There are a few instances in which they might not though such as the font not having the appropriate characters.
There is a defect related if the fraction is in the secondary line of the edited dimension.

This is affecting RSC fonts. We typically use font 3 (Engineering).

I am experiencing the same behavior in CE 10.13.01.001. The OP has given all the required info and is exactly the same thing I have tested against. The suggested answer to this post does not solve this issue. This functionallity works in v08.11.09.919. Seems like a regression.
