It is common practice to edit dimension text such as changing " 10'-10" "to "MIN 10½ FT CLEAR". When editing the dimension text of an existing dimension element (using Edit Text), typed stacked fractionssuch as 1/8, 3/16, etc. are replaced with a “?”. However, fractions ½, ¼, and ¾ all work fine.
The question marks appears only when all three of these conditions exist:• The font is a Bentley "stick" font (Engineering, Working, etc)• The fraction is stacked• The font contains fractions for 8ths, 16ths, 32nds, and 64ths
However, the fraction displays correctly:• When the fraction is not stacked OR• When ANY stacked fraction other than 8ths, 16ths, 32nds, or 64ths is done in Bentley fonts. (i.e. 13/100 works fine)• When ANY stacked fraction is done in TrueType fonts
Is this a bug? Running MicroStation CE 10.10.00.23.
Thanks for advising the version of MSCE U10 that you're using but it would also be helpful if you could advise which type of font is being used as that can make a difference with the display of stacked fractions. ie. RSC or TTF or SHX? Maybe you could supply an example design file and some screen captures. I have an existing Defect # 1026634 which may be related but would need to get an example to confirm this.

Hello Andrew,
Stacked fraction not working for 1/8, 3/8,3/16 fraction it shows ???, same working for 1/2, 3/4 fraction.
Let us know any workaround or solution available for this issue. we are usingMSCE_U15.

TO start, are you typing a space before and after the fraction? as in (using a space instead of the symbol) _1/8_ ?
Are you using an RSC, SHX, or TTF font?
Is this in the primary units of a dimension, or the secondary line of units? Stacked fractions have never worked (AFAIK) in secondary units.
Have you read David's post below?
You may want to file a Service Ticket with Bentley support.
