Steps taken
- Copy table from excel
- In MicroStation pulldown Edit>Paste Special.
- From the list of Data Type selected “Linked Microsoft Excel Worksheet”
- In the Paste OLE Tool Settings dialog set the Method to By Size
After these steps we close Excel and it crashes.
Anyone experienced and know the resolutions please?
Jon Summers is correct in requesting details about the version of MicroStation this is relating to but equally important would be the version of MS Office or Excel that is being used.

we have Office 365 , excel 2016
Latest Office 365 version 16 same as the OP which is why I didn't mention it.
Duncan,
Is this file-specific? Can you reproduce this issue with another spreadsheet and/or DGN file?

Regie
It works for me. It's the OP with the problem.
I do remember having issues with the 64-bit version - are you using 32 or 64-bit version of Office 365?

We have had the some of the same issue with Excel, Cadig & Microstation. 32bit version of office works well with 32bit version of Microstation. Since office and microstation use VB 6.0. 64bit office was upgraded VB 7.0 for 64bit compatibility; VB 6.0 & 7.0 don't communicate.
