fit all and empty data fields

Question

Under the old Microstation V8 2004 edition if you selected fit all/fit view command it would show the view with the empty unused data fields which might be outside the drawing border. 
 This was quite good for location spurious empty data fields. Under Microstation V8i when you select fit all/fit view it only selects the drawing border and if there are any unused data fields 
 located outside the drawing border then they are not shown in the view. 
 Note: If the data field has contents then it does show in the view.

I stopped using data fields many years ago when I finally found out how to use tags properly... also we never were able to edit text inside cells but we have been able to do that for years now... IMHO data fields are like button up shoes.. good for when they were new but now technology improvements have done away with them and made them obsolete but they are there for legacy for old drawings 
 Inside title blocks tags are way better.... and for ce we can now use ITEM types... 
 If you want help on tags and tag reports if you havent gone over to CE do a search this forum for a post I did containing "tags 101".. probably in archives but very helpful tutorial I learnt so much from it I posted it for all of us to use.. as so little documentation was available from bentley a lot people just didnt bother with tags ...from then on I used them for a lot of things especially extract info and make reports ie area measurements , costing etc, bill of materials etc etc...
