Colour issue during ACAD "invasion".

Hi All,

I have got problem with colour settings.

Unfortunately I have used "copy & paste" way to bring some stuff from dwg format into dgn file.

This action made completely mess during renditions process in ProjectWise. Colours from dgn don't match pdf rendition... (mostly everything brought from dwg is blue).

My question is: How to reset shown below (left) colour table to make it "normal" (right) ?

Software used:    AECOSim Building Designer V8i (SELECTseries 6)

Test file attached.

Thanks

  • Thomas, the left table  looks like a customised colour table, the one on the right looks similar to the default msnt  colour table but it too has been customised..

you need to hunt through some dgns  and  look at the  colour table until you find the exact match, then you can save out the colour table  to a  named color table... ask admin where to save it but wait ..creat a new file from seed and the company or workspace defined  seed will have your company  or workspace defined colour table, save it  out to your own c drive and attach it to that  file that gave you trouble... if your using  bylevel and dgn libs for level standards  you can use  update levels in lv manger and all the colours will reload to the dgnlevel standard symbology,,

Copy paste from acad is not good practice but it wont affect your colour table, its better to ref attach dwg to your dgn and copy thru what  you want to borrow...  try not to copy blocks and especially not patterns they will give you a head ache later...

  • Yes, what Lorys said, color table on left is what Microstation uses as a default Autodesk color table. If you've pasted the items into your dgn, you're stuck, they are what they are. Best to reference those things in, then you can manipulate their display color (if they're ByLevel). Otherwise you can change the new pasted levels to be the desired color.
