Hi Crisanto,

I am able to Surface Extrude this shape with Parametric option set to ON and without any 2D Dimension and Geometric constraint placed over this Shape. Could it be possible for you to share your original Shape file (without any constraints) for our verification ?

Hello guys,

What i used is a complex shape, the reason why I can't extrude it parametrically and attach a variable on it is because i haven't put in any constraints on it (2D or dimensional). After putting a constraint on the said complex shape, i am able to extrude it as a parametric solid. Sorry for the confusion.

It does work.

I suggested this tool since the profile being extruded is not a closed shape

It doesnt appear that is a closed shape, which is required by the "solid by extrusion" tool.

If this is meant to be a thin walled solid i would suggest you use the "extrude surface" tool then the "thicken" tool to get the desired thickness.

It does not appear that the shape is a complex shape, you can close the drawing using "create complex shape" then it should work fine.
