I am trying to attach Bing Map raster as a background. I am using the Louisiana State Plane NAD83 South Zone 1702 coordinate system. The Bing Map only shows up for the northern portion of the projected image and doesn't display any imagery just south of a particular latitude which seems to be the lower corners of the projected map itself. See attached image. If I zoom in and out sometimes more map shows up. But, no matter how long I wait when zoomed into the project area in southeast Louisiana, no imagery comes up. I have used the view background option and the map shows up fine but it has to be clipped to a sheet boundary so the view background isn't a solution. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Tested your file and am able to reproduce.
Noticed that you are attaching the Bing map through the Raster Manager rather than the new method added in Update 7, see the following:

Thank you. I actually did use the Bing Map as the view background but that doesn't allow clipping to a sheet boundary. The main reason I am using Bing Maps as a raster attachment is so it can be clipped when referenced into a sheet model. Is there a way to clip a view background?

Georeferenced files are not allowed to be clipped. A workaround is to make a separate design file and attach the image to it, then reference that design file with the image in it, into the design file your wanting to do the clipping in.

Can anyone explain WHY georeferenced files are not allowed to be clipped?I want it to come in where it is supposed to be, but I only want to see a certain part of it. Why is that so hard?

yes annoying but ecw files have the same problem .. but as long as you know it you can use the work around like we do for so many other things in Microstation
