We are testing the CU13 release. We have it installed on a PC desktop to evaluate the software performance.
What we have found is a 191mg file saved on the PC desktop will open in about 30 secondS.
This same file saved on our server will take up to 4 minutes to open on the same PC.
Both versions were saved so the 3D model with all the modeling graphics opens as the default model.
Is this typical of the performance of this new version?
As an experiment I created an empty model in the file, saved and closed the file so it opens as the default model.
When I opened the file in the empty model from the server it opened in about 10 seconds.
After it was open I then opened/switched to the 3D model in the file containing all the 3d graphics and references, this took about 15 seconds to open.
Although it opened the file quickly, which is what I want, I am not thrilled with this method of opening a file.
Can anyone provide some help or insight on this issue?
Yes this slow performance is typical of all our three-dimensional models located on the company server.
The PC specs are typical of our workstations:
Intel Xeon CPU E3-1225 V2 @ 302 GHz 3.20 GHz
16.0 GB RAM
Windows 10 Pro v 1903, (Some PC's are still using v 1803).
Server:
Windows Server 2012 r2.
