We updated to Windows 10 and now we are missing de Main and Tasks Toolboxes. The Drawing Tasks is a child of the Tasks Toolbox. This is probably do to a path name in the configurationss dialogue. Can someone tell me how to find these toolboxes?
Hi Tonya,What version of MicroStation you are using? Are there any messages?communities.bentley.com/.../read-first-microstation-forum-best-practicesRegards,Robert
Maybe look thru configuration variables (searchable) for any Windows paths. I might suspect ProgramData and Users structure may be different in 10. If it's not much trouble (usually isn't), simply reinstall microstation.

Which version of MicroStation do you have on this system as only the latest versions of MicroStation V8i SS4/10 or CONNECT Edition would be certified with Windows 10. The following Wiki article help you with a number of items to check to restore the Tasks Dialog but ultimately you should be considering an upgrade to the latest version.

You would also need to consider the expiring of support for the older versions.

Hello to all who responded. I am using Microstation V8i (SELECT series 4). And no, I dont get any kind of error messages about the missing files. I was able to find the Main menu. It has a new version, Main Classic that I hadn't seen, didn't know about. The Tasks menu is still absent along with the Drawing Task. My best guess is that I am missing one of the dgnlib files. I compared my Workspace configurations to a couple of colleagues. I was updated first so I could figure out and test....I just dont know how to find and instal the files. We are not administrators of Microstation here in house so I have sent an email to a representative of the company that distributes the software. Thank you for the input. I'll read those threads.
