I've raised this before but it seems to be worse.
Even with an empty file CE u13 will open the file and then you have to wait 10 seconds before you can actually do anything, longer on larger drawings.
The same drawing in V8i SS10 does not have this problem.
Users are just reverting to V8i because of this.
Damn. Normally large files will open quickly, a couple seconds, but now and then Ustn will just sit and think (or crash). It's obviously doing something we're unaware of. Someone from Bentley needs to tell us how to track down these extraneous tasks so we can eliminate whatever is causing them. This is just a product of lack of effort and skill in the writing of code for Connect. They put the D team on it.

At the moment I have the lag on every file.
I'm none too expert, but I can tell you when I started in with Connect, I used the migration wizard from v8i. It brought some macro stuff that would hang up. Took me a while to figure out and remedy. So I can only suggest looking through configuration variables for any bad or invalid paths, anything unusual. Of course if I were to stab in the dark, I might say your issue sounds more like some cloud bull stuff. The other approach is to hold out for release 178, maybe it will have the bugs worked out by then.
