Named Ranges in Excel not coming through in CAD file in SS10

I've been pasting linked Excel files for years into MicroStation CAD files with named ranges so that the paste will automatically expand when a row is added. Now with SS10 the named range is omitted when the named range is pasted into a CAD file. When a row is added and the link updated the data shifts and drops the lower rows. This is a nice feature and worked just fine in SS4, so how do you recover this feature in SS10? Is there a different preference or config variable that needs to be changed/added?
