Hi everyone, i'm recently using microstation for some of our client requires it, i have no proper training in it so i hope someone could help me with the following questions.
1. could someone share how to batch convert a 3d to 2d, because i have alot of files to convert (actually it is suppose to be a 2d dwgs only but because there are some txt that has z value in it the program reads it as a 3d that was imported from autocad file)
2. please share also how to move the reference tblock together with the details inside it on the origin point which is 0,0,0 and also could be than as a batch process because of the numbers of the sheets that requires to be done.
Thank you in advance to everyone.
here is after i move the whole dwg manual to have it place in 0 origin.

That's a screenshot of a different model. We can't compare 'before' and 'after'. Please post 'before' and 'after' screenshots of the same model.

HERE SIR, SORRY FOR THE INCONVINIENCE.
BEFORE AFTER
how many drgs?
The script to do a convert 3d to 2d can be determined if you were to do it manually while the vba record was running it may even be the same process for all your drawings , part would include changing your setting title block ref from top to world coincident
Then lastly stop record, go to the xref title block and select it and move to 0,0..
now return to first drawing does it look right... great now open next drawing and run the vba did it shift all and move to 0,0 if so
Now you can add your vba to the batchprocessor and run it on all your drawings
Which file specifically has the 3d , you can export just that file to 2d and make sure your titleblock xref is also 2d
are you really sure client wants the drg model space data to be at 0,0 and not a sheet model..?

are you only wanting to move the title block to 0,0 for all drawings ad not any drawing data if so open the ref file of the title block and move it to 0,0
and change your ref attachment to world coincedent instead of top...
Hi Carl, looks like you want to move the whole graphics.
If it is the same distance for all files? it should be easy. As Lorys describes you can do a vba recording.
You could also script the commands and run it with "utilities>batch process"
the Key-in in my understanding should : "choose everything into a selection set and then move it from point "a" to a point "b" in a certain distance"
An example keyin would look like this:
choose all;move icon;xy=0;dl=10000,10000
This line put into a text file - with your values for x and y - and then run with the "batch process" for your files should do the job. (do try to run all files in one go though- start with a few)
Converting the files is done separately with the "utilities>batch converter"
(I hold back a lot of whys here)
Sir, thanks for the response on your part, i will try the instruction that given and see if it works. i can see that everyone here is trying there best to give the best advice and i really appreciate everyone for there inputs, is just that i don't know much with the software so please excuse me if i'm going to have alot of question regarding it. Thanks much to all.
