in Microstation V8i I have successfully exported to kmz files - and get the expected results - for viewing in Google Earth.
However, I have recently upgraded to to Connect Edition and now get placemarks (push pin and style no.) appearing in Google Earth. See image.
I do not want the placemarks. Is there a way to disable these, I didn't get them when using v8i.
Thanks for any assistance you may give.
Hello all,
Be advised that Defect # 1079390 has previously been filed with our development team regarding this issue and is currently being considered for resolution on future updates of MicroStation CONNECT.
As a workaround, you might consider changing the Format to "KML and Collada" as opposed to "KML Only" within the Google Earth Settings before exporting to KML.
Hope this helps!

Hi Zuhair,Thanks for posting in our MicroStation Communities Forums.Yes, I agree this would be a suitable solution. Here is a slight variation to your steps so you can hide all placemarks globally at the same time:1. In Google Earth, in the Places section, right click on the KMZ file>Properties>Style,Color tab
2. Select Share Style
3. Click on the Icon button
4. Select No Icon and then OK. You will see that there will no longer be an icon in the top left of the dialog.
5. Save changes in Google Earth. You might consider creating a new .kmz file altogether or saving to My Places for future use.HTH,Jayson P.
Thank you Jayson
