MicroStation is a general CAD program and is basis to many specialized applications for certain crafts. Although I came across this question years ago I have not come across a add-on for microstation that implements the required funcionality.

There is only a function to unfold a solid - but this does not provide bend radiuses etc.

https://communities.bentley.com/products/microstation/w/microstation__wiki/13828/how-to-unfold-a-solid

You can also unfold a MESH - that is after you create a mesh from the solid

docs.bentley.com/.../GUID-8EF48062-41B8-96B9-A784-59024A19B8CD.html

Let us say I want to create Plan Callout for each solid, should I move the solids apart so that I can work on each one separately, or is there another way. Please note that for dgn file with few solids it is easy to move the solids apart but if there are a lot of solids then moving the solids around to be able to create 2D detail drawings will require a lot of work.

RE: 3D Basics of MicroStation CONNECT Edition - Master Class

Hi Basheer, If I understand your question correctly, the term you are using "body" is referring to the 3D Solid I used in the YouTube video. I used a model of a 3D Vault to demonstrate the process. Let's say you had two Vaults. You would repeat the process for each Vault or any additional Solids that were in the 3D Model. If you wanted a separate 2D Detail Sheet for each "Body", then it would require a new Sheet Model. Please let me know if I'm not interpreting your question correctly.
Hi

I have been using Microsatation 3D modelling for over 20 years and reasonably good at that. I have been interested for some time generating 2d drawings form 3D model but failed several times, trying to fit in the learning process into too small time slots.

Can you please advise the best place to start self teaching the process?

Regards
