In converting a Microstation file to AutoCAD, I'm having issues with the text in cells ("blocks").
In the conversion, the text "blocks" from Microstation are not being maintained. In other words, the text from within "blocks" disappear once the drawing is converted and opened in AutoCAD.
Moreover, I saw the following solution posted in another similar thread: "The text is most likely part of an Enter Data Field (EDF). EDF's are not supported in AutoCAD. Therefore, they (EDFs in Cells) are converted to Attributes (AKA Tags in MicroStation) that are associated to the converted Block in the Save as DWG process."
Is there a work around to this?
Any help would be appreciated. Please see attached

Yea, it's those pesky data fields. Not ideal, but if you drop the cells then convert, it at least looks right.
Be nice if we had a command to simply eliminate all enter data field definitions while retaining the text.

Well, are the text in the cells EDFs, or are they plain text, fields, or tags? Each of these things might convert somewhat differently, and could require a different workaround.
The last resort is always to drop the cells. Never the optimal choice, but it gets the job done when everything else fails.

There seem to be an issue with units in this file. The elements are very small scale. If attached this file to DGN which has meters then it converts correctly. This file should be sent to Bentley to investigate further. It also causes trouble in Windows Explorer preview pane.
